@whowasthatmaskedman It is not just the promises, or what we say. I have been surprised at the number of times my sons have said "I learned that from you", and reminded me of the circumstances. Invariably it is not something I said. It was what I did; the actions I took with no lecturing. If anything, they watch more than they listen to see if you walk the talk.

Yeah .. that kind of thing, not making time available to sustain a relationship / connection .. red flag. If the interest / effort aren't reciprocated its not worth it. I'm moving toward living that more fully going forward.
