I can't even WIN something right!

I entered a contest last night of a nearby bakery. They were giving out a gift card. You just had to share it on FB, and say your favorite treat at their store. I woke up to an email saying I had won the gift card, you just had to Register. It went to a link for your full name and it would give a credit score. It said on the bakery info, this is real, just register here or otherwise it'll go to another name)winner. I COULD have done it but I'm not a fan of putting my full name online often. So I didn't submit it even though I apparently won the gift card. They've done other contests, so I'm assuming it was legit as it's a local bakery I frequent...I'm just unsure why it went to a third party link.. maybe to have your full name for the winner? Well at least I won something !!!!! I just didn't get it 😭🤦‍♀

You were very wise not to do that. Don't ever do that. Those are always scams and that's why they go to a third party link. Not all go to a third party link but you did the right thing. I think you would have been really sorry had you filled that out. It's just another way for scammers to get your personal information.
I would have done the same thing.

Personally if it was me I would talk to the bakery. Your credit score should have nothing to do with winning a prize.

Is it close enough to go there?

@Thrust Yes but wasn't able today. I think I'll ask next time I'm in.

@Coralmist Just go and say you'll take the card. Or its equivalent in merch

That seems suspicious to me.
You shouldn't need a credit score to get your prize... Sounds like a scam. That stinks

Yeah I don't trust Facebook either

I never trust contests when strings are attached.
