How good are you at chess?

Hopeless, to my disappointment!

I have not played for many years, in fact I think I gave my chess set to a nephew.

I can still remember the basic rules but I was never able to plan moves more than about two ahead at best and was forever failing to spot obvious threats to my more important pieces.

I played and won some tournaments in the past, now I think I'm just avg.

I don't know how to play.

There are some Chess FB sites what are fun. If you like finding checkmate in 3 moves from old grandmasters games.

I know how all the pieces move on the board, but I never played to learn the strategy of the game.

I know how to play chess, I'm just not a very good strategist

I used to be an average club player. But I haven't played in a long time.

I can name the pieces and which way they go...

I can spell the word chess. That's about it.
