What is a young female cow called?

Calf - a young bovine animal, especially a domestic cow or bull in its first year.
Bullock - a male domestic bovine animal that has been castrated and is raised for beef.

@Gusman well....if we are going to be exact...a heifer is a female bovine who has never had a calf. After thats....shes a cow. Its not about her age! Lol. 😜
