Countertop rotisserie. Someone I worked with bought one and always bragged about how good it roasted whole chickens. I got one and it seemed to not get the chicken cooked all the way through unless I scorched the outside of the chicken. I bought a brand new glass bowl convection cooker at a yard sale for $20 several years ago and have roasted probably 100 chickens or more in and cooked all the way inside without burning them.
My blender 😒
I don’t use it anymore because I hate cleaning that thing

A very long time ago I once bought a rice cooker. Used it about three times. I make better rice with out it. And impossible to make risotto in it.

Electric hand mixer. I rarely use it since I prefer mixing by hand, and I’m too lazy to clean the hand mixer afterwards.
MrAboo · 36-40, M
Food processor. Used it once and now it collects dust.
I never use my food processor.
Thankfully I don't have such diseases.
MarineBob · 56-60, M
Ice cream pod machine
Justenjoyit · 61-69, M
lawn mower, just did not cut anything
ArishMell · 70-79, M
I've never bought a "useless" appliance, if you mean bought and never used.

Why would anyone do that?

Though it is said there must be thousands of fondue sets, fancy bread-makers and the like gathering cobwebs in gloomy cupboards because they were bought merely as fashionable at the time!
An electric meat slicer.
(I couldn't find any electric meat. 🤪)

a air fryer. Bought the damn thing 3 days ago and already it broke
Torsten · 36-40, M
@AntisocialTroll oh damn that sounds good. Any type of mushrooms?
AntisocialTroll · 56-60, F
@Torsten I've been using chestnut mushrooms simply because they are the type I use most often anyway.
Works beautifully, I've five interlinked smoke/heat detectors in my tiny flat and before the air fryer I was unable to cook bacon how I like it without them all going off 🤣 my air fryer really is the best gadget ever.
Torsten · 36-40, M
@AntisocialTroll sounds good. Looks like I am going shopping tomorrow to get mushrooms and bacon haha.
Awesome you have something now that can cook things the way you like em without smoke everywhere

Juicer. Used it once and by the time I got the mess cleaned up I never wanted to use it again. Do you know how many oranges it takes to make a glass of OJ? Friggin' crazy!
Penny · 46-50, F
mandoline. id rather just slice it with a knife
Unquestioned · 70-79, M
Juicer, fucking expensive one, takes an hour to clean. Brought it over a year ago, I've used it twice.
