Can people do nice things without being jerks?

I have one buddy who has been a lot of help, but he’s also really bossy and grumpy. He helped yesterday and I appreciate it but I also get tired of people acting like I’m dumb. And I keep telling him I’m gonna sell the house but he talks like we’re gonna be here forever. Like he isn’t hearing me and keeps telling me what to do. I kinda don’t want to be friends with him. He’s so controlling but like dude you have no power over me.

The build up of you leaving California for the inheritance of a house that is in need of some work to put on the market has me intrigued. Have you gotten any pictures of the place.

The title doesn’t make a whole lotta sense, you’re either nice or a jerk, can’t mix the two I guess 🤷🏻‍♂️

So that dude is jerky from the beginning I’d say

@IamBack but he does nice things, he just acts like a bossy jerk

@RebelFox idk maybe the dude is just protective idk

Some people can. But the evidence suggests mostly not. And it’s getting worse as time goes by.

Whenever I feel like someone is trying to control me I detach

@SW-User I gotta learn to do that. I always wanna listen to be “polite” but then it gets in my head from my family constantly manipulating me. The “you should” statements make me sweat with anger.

Can you not ask for offers and take the best one then become an English Yorkshire lass
