@DallasCowboysFan i test drove one, it was a "truck" on steroids. Ford's decision to abandon sedans drove me, pardon the pin, from buying another Ford, first time since 1964.
@samueltyler2 Yeah, but everyone is driving an SUV these days. The Ford Taurus was a good car even though it became synonmous with yellowcab taxis. I rode in a cab one day and the guy had a 3 year old Taurus with 200k miles on it. And it still rode smooth.
He changed the oil every month. Did all the maintenance. It was a good car but nobody was buying them anymore.
@DallasCowboysFan Ford made the Fusion and sold a ton of them. I had one, in fact the last one I eased was a plug-in hybrid, a fantastic advance. It only got 20-25 miles to a charge, which was pretty good for most of my commutes, 50 would have been much better. I prefer driving a sedan and was very upset and abandoned Ford when they made the decision to no longer produce any sedans. I still see so many Ford Fusions on the road, it is hard to believe they made such an unwise decision.
@samueltyler2 True, but even Camry's and Accords have seen a drop in sales. I think the two biggest sellers in the country are the RAV4 and the Honda CRV. I think people see the utility in an SUV. It's about the same price as a car but you can do more with it, and it only gets 1,2 mpg less than a car.
The Fusion was a good car. But heck, Ford has even let the Lincoln nameplate go to waste. It was always neck and neck with Cadillac in terms of prestige, but when was the last time you heard anything good about a Lincoln?
