I once read that the average person will walk past 16 murderers in their lifetime.

But how many murderers do you think you’ve interacted with online?

Probably a lot but I've been to many major cities L.A., New York, Chicago, Seattle, Washington D.C., Atlanta I've probably walked past far more than 16 in my lifetime

16 people that have committed murder already, or that will go on to act on thoughts of murder?

I bet the number is way higher online
Straylight · 31-35, F
@WaryWitchWandering I don’t know. Probably people who already committed murder. It would be harder to figure out how many people have thoughts of murder or would act on them.

Lots , when I was just out of school they had me doing criminal work as a public defender to learn the business

Murderers can act like anyone else and adapt to society rules except for their felonies. i would say that number is very low and even higher online.
Id hear gunshots at leeeaaaasst once a week in LA you start to know what a car backfire a firework and a gun shot sounds like pretty quick its got a quick pop pop pop sound
@sarabee1995 it really is cuz you neda know when its NOT false alarm and to hit the deck

Only know I once unknowingly lived with one. Found out months after she left.
WhateverWorks · 36-40
🤔 I lived in a pretty dangerous city for a number of years, so I probably walked by 16 a year 😅
This gets me worried 😖
V00doo · M
Many.
But considering where I live, probably more in RL.
AntisocialTroll · 56-60, F
@V00doo Same.

A high school friend murdered two men. A former employee served time for murder. I was in the jury pool for two others. That only leaves a dozen more, and I probably did pass them somewhere.

Do you consider people who killed people in war murderers?
Straylight · 31-35, F
@JohnnySpot I wouldn’t, but I don’t know the intent of whoever studied this statistic was.
JohnnySpot · 56-60, M
@Straylight considering the intent does open up a can of worms.

None, realistically. I don't believe that it's that common, particularly if we're talking about culpable homicide.
Straylight · 31-35, F
@SW-User I’ve also heard 8 instead of 16.
SkeetSkeet · 100+, F
100's. These people are deranged.

My friend was dating a murderer. He even served time but not enough!

I used to be friends with a guy who killed a man after a night out, way back in 1999, I was a witness at the trial, I'm very thankful that I went home that night before all this happened

He got 9 months for manslaughter, he pushed him into the River Liffey in Dublin
iamonfire696 · 41-45, F
Probably way more online I would think
