Sorry, but... that accent. Reminds me of Andy Griffith - a totally unfunny, annoying, unfunny (did I say that already?) presence from that Mayberry show from my youth. Tennessee Ernie was another turnoff.

@rinkydinkydoink The point he makes is, that’s his actual accent (and it is, I’ve heard him interviewed in non-humorous situations). And while people expect him to be biased, they’re often biased towards the accent and don’t hear his words . Your reaction kind of illustrates what he’s saying.
My mother actually took classes to get rid of her strong East Louisiana accent. She once told me that people from other parts of the country would hear it and automatically "subtract IQ points". She was successful, too—one could never hear even a trace of it—except when she was angry.

Then he or you may have missed my point. I didn't say anything about his bias or non-bias or his brains did I? I don't like - and never have liked - that style of corn-fed humor. The defensiveness is the turnoff.
