Other phrases that are annoyingly overused:
“asking for a friend”
“……annnnnnnd go!” (asking for recommendations)
“bonus points for … “ (specific recommendations that meet a certain criteria)
and the misuse of “literally” - I hear talk show hosts where they **literally** use it 20x in a broadcast when they actually mean “actually” bc there’s not even a figurative phrase that follows it. ex. “She literally won the contest she entered.”
