I was driving a friend across town. He has been in Canada about 2 years now having fled Ukraine and its crazy war. As we were driving he saw a Popeyes place. In his broken English he told me that Popeye was one of his favourite cartoons. When the Soviet Union fell he was able to watch American TV and as a kid he loved to watch Popeye. When I explained to him that Popeyes sells chicken he was a little disappointed.
