Fact-checking an urban legend

In light of a certain popular meme that crops up from time to time, I feel compelled to make the following announcement to the world:

At times, I actually have said, "That's too much bacon."

Thank you for your attention.

Carry on.

Bacon cured with nitrates is toxic to the pancreas unless you have something with vitamin C in it at the same time.

@cherokeepatti Yes, I have had those too. They are delicious. First time was at Wall Drugs in South Dakota. But now I can find them in stores, along with bison burgers. (I like elk burgers too.)

@DrWatson Elk is excellent. I’ve only had it a few times but it was so good.

Burger King ran a summertime special on Bacon Sundaes .....I had to draw the line somewhere. Just NO!!!!!. My grand daughter liked them. Go figure.

@bowman81 I prefer bacon to be fatty rather than crisp. So when I first tasted a chocolate bar with bacon, it just seemed to have unidentifiable crunchy things in it. I imagine that would be by reaction to bacon donuts or *shudder* bacon sundaes!

And I agree!

(Unless it comes with fried eggs. )

I'm sorry, we can't be friends anymore.

@Lilnonames Add one slice of tomato and one leaf of lettuce, and you have the makings of a classic sandwich!
@Lilnonames make mine a double, please 😁
