That rolling blackouts aren't as as fun as they sound.

Who would ever think they would be fun? They would be horrendous.

@PoetryNEmotion Until recently, I've always thought rolling blackouts was something that took place after a little too much tequila.
@pelman0011 That could very well be. I only know one gf in Cali. And I don't hear much from that side of the planet. What can you tell me about these rolling blackouts? I live in Ontario, Canada. Why do they exist? What is the solution? And in this heat how can people exist like that? I have to go start my day. I thank you for your time.

@PoetryNEmotion I wish I could answer all of your questions, in detail, but I'm not that smart. But from what I understand, the electric companies do them to avoid total blackouts. Basically, the demand for electricity in some places exceeds what the electric grid can give. Other than a generator, which only few people have (although a lot of businesses do), I have no idea how people could keep cool. I've been without power for up to a week, following a hurricane, so it's possible, but very hard. Hope you have a great day!
@pelman0011 Thank you, nice guy. I will ask my Calif friend to tell me about it. You have a great night.
