Is it weird to reach out to a guy via social media if we haven’t met in person?

There’s this guy at the gym who I think is so cute. I just found his Instagram a few days ago but he hasn’t posted in over a year.

I see he is a personal trainer according to a post from 2021, would it be weird to ask him about the training plans from that post— such as 1 on 1 training if we have never spoken to eachother in person?

I’m afraid itll be awkward at the gym if he declines lol

Something along the lines of, “ Hi, I’m (insert my name)! We go to the same gym but don’t believe we’ve met. Are you still offering these plans?

@SW-User it has come to my attention that he is more socially awkward than I am. I think I might die if I try, plus my mom goes to the gym with me so I don’t want her to know I’m down bad LOL

@VomitingWords ahh well You could try the Instagram but if he hasn't been active for a year he might not even be checking it

@VomitingWords Actually - the fact your mom is with you at the gym, is the perfect excuse to use instagram when you post you can say...my mom is at the gym, so I feel funny asking then but....etc...
