Soul mates are human equivalents of bigfoot. We all want to believe they exist .. but no one has ever captured a live one.

No such thing as one, true soulmate
PhoenixPhail · M
@ChampagneOnIce Either that, or we're all each other's soul mates, and that soul-mate-ness has just been obscured by the conditioning we cling to just to survive.
ChampagneOnIce · 51-55, F
@PhoenixPhail Nah, I think it's made up to give people hope that there's someone out there for them. I think we have multiple soulmates, soul connections, and they're not always romantic partners. I think friends can be soulmates, the kind of friends you connect with easily and quickly, like you've known each other your whole lives. The kind of friends where you can go months without talking, and then pick right back up as if no time has passed. As for romantic partners, I think you just click with some people and not with others, but one, true soulmate you're destined to be with doesn't seem real to me.
PhoenixPhail · M
@ChampagneOnIce Yes. Those are exactly the kind of soul mates I'm talking about. Not necessarily romantic partners. Those may come along once in a lifetime. Or, not at all.
akindheart · 70-79, F
sadly that is true.
