@Captain Nothing to worry about...I think these ladies just want a little dancing and maybe knock back a few vodkas ☺

As for punishment, I'm sure their lives haven't been easy for them... that's why they need their Friday girls' night outs and they deserve to enjoy themselves however they can.

@LilMissAnonyMOUSE Fortunately my lads a home bird so not faced with such a daunting prospect being presented to me as a girlfriend just yet. LOL !
@Captain When the time comes, I hope he chooses wisely and they treat each other with love and respect😊

@LilMissAnonyMOUSE Who knows, could be in the army being shot at soon the ways things are going...
@Captain Oh my goodness, I sincerely hope not! Let's all hope no war will happen and the Universe may just grant us peace and harmony.
Captain · 61-69, M
@LilMissAnonyMOUSE Well war is happening and the world is in chaos and disharmony, so in the words of Tony Blair "things can only get better".
@Captain Unfortunately, things can get worse too, if we're being realistic... but I prefer that mindset of remaining hopeful and positive😊
Captain · 61-69, M
@LilMissAnonyMOUSE Actually I was trying to keep that a secret (LOL)
@Captain Sad to say, it's glaringly obvious that our world is living another form of ''Dark ages'', and where a bunch of tyrants want to have dominion of the world. I'd rocket ship them all off to another planet where they could battle amongst themselves and let us live our lives here in peace.

@LilMissAnonyMOUSE Oh that we could. I think the whole concept of nationality and country is finally becoming outdated. Of course that can't change while we have different philosphies of governance and religions. Religion is fading in the western world but not so much elsewhere, but is it something that divides rather than unites. How can government states control their own economies now most business is dominated by multinationals. I think religion will die a slow death over the next 500 years unless there is a thermonuclear war in which case it will just be gone along with most of us. I think contries as a concept will graudally become collectives like the EU is trying to or the US already is, and then there's more hope for a unification, the brotherhood of man. But - as the hunger games books depict, it does not serve the powerful to have the masses content as then the focus falls on them.so the richest of the world want a divided world. And I think that is at the root of all ills. The rich want to and are getting richer and the poor "not richer". While the poor allow themseleves to be brain washed this will continue. Taxes are driven down and social services abandoned because the richer dictate the story. But when is Elon Musk, when is Rishi Sunak - going to spend all their money and so help other people be richer ? Never ! Trickle down economics has been shown up for the myth it is but Social Demoncracy and Equality of Opportunity are dirty words. The concept of inheritance is fundamentally flawed and counter productive. Words at the centre of the French revolution "Liberte, Equalite, Fraternite" No brotherhood. No equality (which I wouldnt be a massive fan of) - not even equality of opportunity (which if you follow Adam Smith would be the ideal), something which can only be changed if all eductaion is State controlled and equal for all. I put this out there only because I havent raised a blog about it yet. I might do. Anyway I hope to become a teacher this year, and for the rest of my days, just as a hobby in retirement or more accurately a way of paying back for some of the good times I have had. Don't know if you read all that or not but its how I see things. M
@Captain

Yes, I have read it all. Thanks for sharing your opinion. As you say '' we have different philosophies of governance and religion, it's true...I doubt very much that that will change precisely because countries do not share the same culture with each other nor have the same principles in life, principles being more of an individualistic way of thinking or being. Religion may be dying in some countries where it is viewed as unnecessary, while it holds other countries together and yet, may also be the cause of chaos in some, unfortunately. The unification of countries / the brotherhood of man, or where no borders exist, is something people with a higher spiritual level dream of and strive to achieve...unfortunately, these are considered utopian thinking and dismissed as being unrealistic. But why? Is it impossible? Are we, as humans, incapable of living harmoniously? No...we are capable, but only if we share the same principles of peace and respect. But there is the human factor, condition or nature to want power and control and by having these, greed becomes their God, tyranny their method, threat and war their weapons and all for the sake of money and the narcissistic hunger for fame/glory and supremacy ...all these as their primary agenda to get richer and powerful, disregarding human lives and peace on earth. Unfortunately. we are flawed as yet as human beings and it will take a spiritual awakening to change that and perhaps, something big needs to happen before we realize we made a big mistake not acknowledging that we are spiritual beings, fortunate to live in a planet that lacks of nothing we need and that we are capable of reaching a higher state of being, where the objective is to better ourselves as humans, be responsible and empathetic ...not retrogressive, destructive and selfish..Something has got to give, sooner or later, unless we change and change begins individually. Hopefully, one day we can all join hands to make this a better world for everyone.

Ohhh🤭...we are getting very serious now, I was hoping to lighten up the general mood by posting something silly ☺ But it was nice discussing this serious matter with you. I wish you luck and hope you enjoy teaching. I was a teacher myself for 10 years until I left it to start my own business. Teaching is a great profession and service, without a doubt.

Have a nice day ☺

@LilMissAnonyMOUSE Well I give it 500 years and even without apocolyptic war I think we will have reached that state where technology can cope, population will have declined enough for things to be sustainable, and man will no longer have to strive to survive, with equalite, liberte and fraternite the mantra of a world wide order organised by AI and hopefull autonomous AI so no leaders are needed. And in a world where everything can be provided for much less effort, why the need for aggresive capitalism. Those who want tobe rich and famous can go for it, and those that want to do nothing can do nothing (some would say we're there already but I think most economically inactive people probably find a side hussle anyway). This sounds impossible with 9% of the world below the poverty line, 5% of the world unemployed, 3.5 of 5.2 billion of working age working in a job and 25% too young to work. However if you look at that, even with our low level of mechanisation and automation in jobs we already have spare capacity in the system and autmation has still really only just begun. One example. Robots can already harvest and plant but people use labour because its cheaper. Will that last ? Linesmen in tennos have been replaced by automation, and that is a trend that will apply to all skilled jobs. Taxis can become self driven as soon as people want them to - it will happen. So I do see a day when there wont be enough work for scoiety to do. I do see that at first the rich will want to exloit the poor to do the work because its less investment than a robot, but I do see a day when the ehtical lobby turns to no more menail jobs and everyone becomaes a poet or something. Its just the power and greed nested in humanity that is holding us bakc from rolling out al this, and the fact we still have hot wars - due to political and religeous ideology - the two things Im suggesitng will fade away. So I am hopeful for future generaitons and I hope they embrace a culture of self improvement by the middle of this millennium to replace that one of greed power conquest and ego that has marked the last millennium. I do believe that.
@Captain Hopefully, mankind and technology wouldn't end all life on this planet even before those 500 years. I say hopefully because I am a person full of hope and while I am a realist too, it isn't easy, but I strive to be optimistic.

Thanks for sharing your thoughts😊

@LilMissAnonyMOUSE If you want to read something really weird google Al Bielek. The story is really despised as rambling hoax and self promotion but... his "prediction of our future history from now to 2749 is thought provoking. I owe it to him that I expect to see a seriously reduced world population governed by an AI with benign objectives hard wired in (AI therefore knowing what every hacker is trying to do real time and being able to prevent itself ever being overwritten by both blocking, predicting and preventing future threats - especaily to its programmed objectives - I thought that was very clever for a last century hoaxer). It also includes the idea that work would become an option (obviously still rewarded). I get it. Its the only way I can think of that we could neutralise our impact on the environment amd live at peace with each other... but when you see the provenance of his ideas you'll see why no one is taking it seriously. Maybe thats all part of the meant to be. Just saying - half the whacky stuff he predicted is now being supported by observations and theories developing right now in physics...Thats the even wierder bit,
@Captain I'll check it out, thanks.
