When a ham radio signal successfully travels around the world, it is often referred to as "DXing" or making a "DX contact." The term "DX" stands for "distance" and is commonly used in amateur radio to describe long-distance communication. If the signal is received from a distant location, it may also be called a "worldwide contact" or "global contact."
