I've been doing both all my life so here's what I think:
- Housework is time-consuming, sometimes tiring, can be boring but it is not difficult. To keep it tolerable I don't do too much at once!
- cooking is what you want it to be; it can be quite easy or quite difficult, depending on how far you want to go. Some quite nice things can be done with a few ingredients and not much time (Bruschetta, anyone?). On the other hand, following a Delia Smith recipe for fish pie took me ages. I only ever did it twice!
