Should I stay quiet or not?

You could easily just say something casual, like “Well, hello pretty lady”
or “Hey good lookin’!”

It’s a simple, and non-intrusive way of letting her know that her scars don’t affect her beauty

Treat her just like anyone else. She'll appreciate that.

So the cover shows a little damage, the book is still good. Which one of us is perfect. Treat her normally. Why would you have to ask this?

By all means talk to her, but don't mention her appearance.

Why do you need to bring anything about it up to her?

Maybe just talk to her like a person ...let her bring it up

You could ask - "What is the soup today?"

It's a tough call.

If I were to do so, I'd try to catch her so I could have a private conversation and just be honest

"Hi, <name>. Is it ok if I tell you something? I don't want to dwell on the past, but I want you to know that I honestly find you to be a very pretty woman. [smile] Thanks for letting me share that with the only other person who needs to know."

Treat her normally. If she is a waitress, maybe tell her what you would like to eat and drink.
