It was funny but….

The time our French teacher Ms Harper cracked her head on a cupboard. I didn’t like her and found it funny. I think the rest of the class did as well but the problem was I couldn’t stop giggling. I got another detention to take home and explain to mum why I’d been misbehaving! 😟

There was something so empowering about being the “class clown”! I remember those days so well.
My forty years as a schoolteacher tempered my views somewhat!!!.. but I always had sympathy for the kids who could make others laugh!
Such a gift.

Well,I once stepped backwards in the classroom and fell over a bookcase
that was on wheels.
It gave the kids a good laugh....no detentions followed!

I once put plastic over the toilet in the teacher's lounge. So you are not alone

@SW-User You're a hero, man.

@GeistInTheMachine Thank you, my friend :)
Mal the 4th: When one is on stage as a classroom teacher is in the classroom, slapstick actions, even when accidental, are legitimately funny. I hope your mum had a sense of humour.

That happened to me as a kid. I regret nothIng. There are worse things. When you are out of school it's better. Your mom will get over it.

You're lucky you weren't at school when I was or you would probably have gone home with sore hands or bottom! ;-)

And what did your mom have to say?

@DearAmbellina2113 I have never understood how people like that remain teachers in the school system.

@bijouxbroussard small town, plus teacher's union. I'm for Unions, not against, but obviously some people are gonna take advantage of them.
