Because those closest to you are never everyone. Yet there is sympathy in numbers.
It's not about satisfying everyone. Just the maximum amount.
We exist by that maximum. It's all about being social.
Individualism is self destructive. A Rogue lion really doesn't last very long. You really can't live on your own. Even animals group together for that reason. Even prides of Lions.
