I had a spider on my wall so I put my toad up to it

I’m leaving most of the spiders alone. Went out to throw some trash out the other night and saw a couple dozen earwigs climbing up the garage door. There was a spider on the ground waiting to get them. I took my shoe off and thumped as many earwigs as I could and the poor spider was frightened and ran away. I saw another spider in the house and won’t kill it, it’s hunting earwigs in the house, they are bad this month with all the rain we’ve had.
