@DrScissorhands we had a fat chihuahua-terrier mix dog with bug-eyes and he鈥檇 silently watch us eat and tears would form in his eyes. That鈥檚 the reason he was fat.
@cherokeepatti He knew how to work your emotions. 馃槀馃槀馃槀

@DrScissorhands Chihuahuas are always hungry. They can be asleep in a different part of the house but if you peel the wrapper off of a slice of cheese they鈥檒l be at your feet within seconds.
@cherokeepatti I've never had one but I'd imagine they'd be some work to keep up with hahah

@DrScissorhands a lady tried to give me two chihuahua puppies. They were always begging for food even though I fed them good. Was afraid they would get diarrhea or something if I fed them very much more. I鈥檇 take them out into the back yard to play and watching them digging around and catching and eating roly-poly bugs鈥lways wanting to eat something. I had to give them back, couldn鈥檛 keep up with them. And chihuahuas wouldn鈥檛 be my first choice for a dog if I got one. I鈥檇 get a poodle for a little dog or a golden retriever if I wanted a bigger one.
@cherokeepatti That's what I was afraid of. Spirited little things

@DrScissorhands chihuahuas are hard to house-break and two of them even harder. I think that鈥檚 why the lady was trying to give them to me, she also threw in a large cage, toys, pet food etc. And I know those puppies were not cheap. I gave them back to her. I was retired and home all day, you could take them out to use the bathroom several times a day and have them sleep in that crate to take naps but they鈥檇 come inside after being out for quite a while and then take a dump. Can鈥檛 handle cleaning up after them all day long after spending so much time taking them outside. Poodles are supposed to be the easiest ones to housebreak. We had one from a puppy and it seemed very easy. She might have had one accident total.
