I don't live in an area where opening my window will do much good. All I will hear will be cars, people, and crap like that. At least when I lived in the country, opening the window meant that I could hear crickets, a dog howling in the distance, and light wind coming in through the window. You know, peaceful sounds. Not the sounds of the city.

Yes. I'm going to see how long I can make it without turning the air conditioner on... or even the fan.
EDIT - in the aftermath of a thunderstorm the air is usually humid as all get out so that presents a stiff challenge going without the AC being activated.
