I remember very clearly in the 90s that saying something "sucked" implied very heavily that it sucked dick.

Then the meaning changed over time and got softened a bit. It used to be that if you said that something sucked the expression was considered extremely profane like cussing in public.

I remember this very clearly.

It is funny how now people say things "suck" all the time even in public like no problem.

It 100% meant originally that something was so bad it sucked dick but people just sort of forgot. lol
