I would say they are not cannibals; all the lore for people eating zombies they've been transformed, infected by something else or otherwise fundamentally changed. also cannibals are living and not an invention of imagination, so ...

@dirge yeah, similar to vampires. Or when werewolves kill people, we don’t hold the human side responsible. Morality and supernatural beings is an interesting philosophy to debate

@dirge I’ve seen stories involving vampires vs zombies. “Double Dead” and I think there was another one too.

I assume zombie on zombie violence would be unusual or else zombies would eat each other more frequently. In some media, zombies kinda fuse together like Rat-King thing lol
