Idk how you guys survived tbh like what would you do if you were running late to meet somebody? Or there was an emergency like your wife giving birth or a loved one in the hospital? Or you needed to find a definition? Ik there was payphones but what if you ran outa money?

@TryingtoLava It does seem like that, but we thought how our grandparents managed without stuff we had as well ….we figure things out… hey they built pyramids before machines😀

Running late? We paid a courtesy by phoning from home before we set out.
Caught in traffic? It was natural for those waiting for you to just wait.
On the way to the delivery room? You're already en route, so keep driving.
Definition? Dictionary.
Pay phone? We carried more spare change back then. To feed the pay phones.
It was life in those days. We felt entirely modern, asking these same questions of our grandfolks.

@TryingtoLava On those days, people help each others….even strangers too. And yes, we used to trust strangers.
