take a cold shower in your clothes, then leave them on, repeat if necessary.

Take a hand towel and spray water on it and freeze it. Used it to wipe down my body when I couldn’t sleep because it was so hot.
Drink Hibiscus tea (also called Jamaica tea). It will help you feel a lot cooler, it is a diuretic is why, and it really tastes good.
Put chunks of watermelon in a blender with ice and make a slushie. It is also a diuretic and very cooling.

@cherokeepatti Dried hibiscus and watermelon jelly are good snacks. Fair warning, they are rather bitter.

Living in a top floor flat I find wearing a damp t shirt or if swimming outside wear regular clothes swimming. The latter protects against sunburn (sunscreen will wash off) and wet clothes keep you cool after. I would pack a change of clothes though for after. Alternatively wear breathable clothes like cotton.

When I was a poor starving student and musician, I’d put a small dishpan of ice cubes in front of a box fan in the window at the head of my bed. I had several ice cube trays just for the purpose of doing that. I’d refill them each night and repeat the process while it was hot out.
