A lot of employers that I've worked for, as the years have progressed they seem to want you to more and more accept direct deposit. Now I believe you can still get a paper check in the mail, but you might not always get it on that Friday when everyone else gets paid because of the mail system, it's just become easier to do direct deposit.
The money goes in automatically, you don't gotta worry, and yes it's every 2 weeks. I don't know of any employers who still do weekly.

@RedBaron why did it have to change? I'm old fashioned. Places I was working for starting in 1996 always gave you a weekly check. Always. So that CEOs could make even MORE money, biweekly checks were introduced and then direct deposit.
Nothing wrong with direct deposit but now it's gotten ridiculous, some employers give you a card that they put your money on, instead of a direct deposit into your bank account. So if I had that, I would have to move that money from the card into my bank account.
It's laziness, I want my money I earned!!!! Your best option is to put your money under your mattress. Imagine if the whole banking system goes down or you can't access your bank and all your money is in the bank

@RedBaron they take more out of you in taxes for starters. Anything a company does, is for the sole benefit of the CEO and its shareholders. Companies don't care about the little guy, all they care about is pleasing their shareholders, and all hourly employees are expendible.
Walmart has stated in the past that a 1 year worker is the same as a 10 year worker. Trust me, it's all to screw the worker over.
