So true and yet, so many kids nowadays have no idea how to use punctuation. Acronyms and abbreviations is all they use. It is so disturbing...

@Stephie I know. I get so sick of seeing things like, "hey did you play TF2 the other day? I think it's better than BF tbh". And the other person says, "iirc BF came out in 2002, TF2 released in 2007, tbf I personally like TF2 but imho TF2 is the better game, I'm playing it rn"
Just an example conversation two people having about the games, Team fortress 2 and Battlefield. These people rattle off abbreviations for games as if everyone is supposed to know what they are talking about.
Like, we've devolved regarding having conversation. The Internet should be this thing that only turns on for 3 hours a day. Check your email, send a couple messages, go and live our lives rather than live on the Internet all day long.
There is this type of chat kids were doing called leet speak. It's a combination of using numbers and letters to form words. It was a way for them to hide what they were saying in their conversations to do other various activities so their parents wouldn't find out. Teachers seemed to pick up on it pretty quickly and informed parents about it.

@twiigss It is sad and my fear is that grammar is the next thing to be an abandoned topic in school. No need to teach kids how to write and spell since the newer generations seem no longer able to master a proper sentence. The entire thing is exacerbated by artificial intelligence that does all the work for them.
All you really need to remember nowadays is to know where the letters are located on the keyboard but even that is slowly disappearing, replaced by voice command.
