@DearAmbellina2113 honestly, I think it's more complex than that . Some people love to be restrained. From what I've read it gives a sense of safety and security.
It's like saying I don't like cars because they crash. Some do, many don't .
But as in all things, there is of course always a dark element which is dangerous so I see your point there

@DearAmbellina2113 As have I, and I found everyone's experience and perceptions to be uniquely their own. The way I experienced something was not necessarily the way someone else would experience it. Even if on practice it was the very same thing.
Take shibari for example: it's more art than bondage. Sometimes it's pure art and not sexual at all . Yet it still BDSM.

There are shibari acts and shows separate to the BDSM community . There are competitions in artistic design in shibari.
They do not lure people into BDSM .
It's a very open and careful community .

They are notorious leeches of the BDSM community and give it a bad name. They are sadistic wannabes who prey on new people under a guise of wisdom they don't have and haven't earned. They can be cruel and destructive and dangerous.
