I think they should keep the rule and change the bathing suits.
However,I didn't watch the video.
I think places like schools should be neutral and people dressing sexy is distraction from learning .
I also believe it's highly inappropriate ,but then I'm a dinosaur.
And this goes for teachers too , as in if your students can't wear a short mini skirt you should not be wearing a blouse that shows too much.
I'm done with my soapbox speech you can all go back to your former programs

The issue of women athletes being sexualized is on my list of things that really fire me up. I remember this story. One judge's interpretation of what 'modesty' means. When athletes are competing, irrespective of their gender, what they wear has NOTHING to do with anything other than the best uniform to compete in. And anyone who sexualizes them has a) never competed and b) needs to get a freaking life.

Sounds hypocritical on the schools behalf.
@redback The principal probably got a chubby seeing the girls in them, that's usually the case.

Society's 'rules' about modesty and hiding the human body are stupid. They should be ignored, ridiculed and abolished.

If students are getting in trouble for wearing a school issued swimsuit, the school is to blame, not the girl.

So she wore a swimsuit that the school gave her and she got into trouble for wearing it

School is at fault if anyone at all. Don't punish the kid for the schools actions.

@SandWitch Baloney; although silly attitudes about modesty are probably more widespread in America than many other places. But there are stupid people concerned over irrelevant nonsense everywhere.
