Brain thinks opposite

Am i the only one that if i look at something hot and touch something cold for a moment it feels like i got burned?

I have noticed this phenomenon since I was young. I noticed when in the bath that particularly my toe didn't know whether they water was hot or cold when I put it up the tap.
The alignment of the rocks and the stars above seem to appear out of order for you here... I want something that is hot to touch, to look upon, to burn without feeling cold. Mustn't be a tall order. If it is the wick is burning at the wrong end?
You can show someone a cigarette and then blindfold them and touch their skin with ice and some people will blister.

Maybe not, I haven't tried but when I look at artificial fire I feel warm.

@Queendragonfly Glow is artificial but there is electrical heater inside which does gives out heat.
