You’re meeting your girlfriend’s parents for the first time and he answers the door

Not intending to be speaking of color differences but I met a very pretty black girl when I was in my twenties back in the 70's and I am white but never felt racist. We dated a few times and she wanted me to meet her Mom and Dad. When I arrived at the parents house I met the Mom who was very nice and pretty also, the Dad was a little late getting home and when he entered the door the Mom greeted him with a can of beer and he immediately headed to "his" chair. My date introduced me and he looked me up and down and the only thing out of him was a dissatisfied grunt. I learned there are Archie Bunkers of all colors / nationalities.
