This woman was saying ” Islam “ is backwards bcz of Afghanistan yet in the same breath she took she was saying how she enjoyed her vacay in Maldives

Like who’s gonna tell her the Maldives has the highest percentage of Muslims at 100%?😭

Interesting fact :
Did you know that women in Afghanistan gained the right to vote before American women?

Nations /empires throughout history have always fluctuated
(And continue to do so ) Economically and socially it has nothing to do with religion .

Ps: Im not from Afghanistan just thought that this was funny.

What do you think is the cause behind women having no rights in Afghanistan now, if it's not the religious elements in society behind this?

And with the Maldives, what's their excuse for having this regressive nonsense in their laws?

The Penal Code of the Maldives works with Islamic Shariah Law to punish any acts relating to homosexuality through prison sentences, fines, and lashings.

I think the answer is pretty simple ,
People only know now and not 1400 + years of history.
Worst, people are incapable to discuss religion by its scripture.

Americans don't like irony put in front of them. *disclaimer I have not fact checked this.

@TheSentinel
The discussion should be based on the actions of those who claim to follow those scriptures. It can be no other way.
May I ask how you'd determine the speed limit on a highway or road?
@Iwantyourhotwife That sounds like a topic for another discussion. It isn't related in any way to my comment here.

@TheSentinel it is. People don't follow the rules to the tee. People make mistakes. People sin.

Although I agree that the actions should be implemented following the rules of whatever someone believes in, out of weakness some fall short

Yes, they were voting one year before American women were able to vote. Perhaps, Afghanistan women were influential in the fact that American women started voting a year later.
I understand that women in Afghanistan had many rights that they subsequently lost when the Taliban came to power. So civil rights can be lost, and we’ve been seeing something similar here, with Christian extremists trying to dictate how women live. Religious extremism (regardless of the religion) has rarely boded well for women, unfortunately.
