Saw a lone goose flying through the snowfall.

I could hear it honking as it flew. It kind of sounded like "Silly goose should have gone south a week ago".

That always makes me a little sad. Maybe they got left behind, are too old to keep up make the journey. I love watching geese fly and hearing them but one all alone. I just feel bad for them.

@lovelychicadee Actually we have quite a number of geese and ducks that overwinter here. They find open water in the various cooling ponds from generating stations and save themselves a lot of work. Smart birds.
