They weigh the same, but it is fascinating how people's perceptions make this riddle endure.

A pound of lead. Honest, true. The mass is the same, but the weight is higher.
@helenS

That might be due to different altitude....
helenS · 36-40, F
@Soossie If "pound" is a mass unit, then different altitudes are irrelevant, because the mass remains constant. Only gravity changes as a function of altitude.
(A thread without Trump and without sex! 🥳)

Lolol... love this..... a thread without Trump and sex can only happen with a smart lady like you only when you decide to be more beautiful at brain rather than your carisma... 🤗🌹

A pound of lead is much heavier if you consider a pound as British currency. One pound will buy approximately 1.36 pounds of lead but one pound would only by a small weight of feathers (depending the species of feathers)..
My nerd opinion of the day...hahaha

Well played!

Equal. A lb (pound) is a lb. A drop of lead vs a shedful of feathers, but they both weigh the same 🤷‍♂️

Are we talking "pound" as a measurement of weight, or as currency?
GunFinger · F
They're both as heavy.😊
