Be honest, after you watched Jaws for the first time, how long did it take before you went swimming again?
I was worried for a little bit, but I live in Australia and it gets too hot to worry about sharks.

Avoid any cans or drink bottles due to the Blue Ringed Octopus.
Check your step for stone fish.
Get a report from the fishermen on whether they have seen a shark or not.
Watch out for snakes on the way down to the beach.
Remember your sunscreen.
Bring plenty of water.
