While it is charging, it will all of a sudden stop charging and the little light will go from orange to white, like it's fully charged. Then the light will turn orange again and it will continue charging.

Get a new battery. Stop trying to figure that one out. My phone is starting to act similar and its only almost 2 years old. I think it was a lemon battery in my case because it never lasted as long as I feel it should have. 900 bucks for phone that can't last 2 years I charge it constantly
