Left wingers: "Pffft, these stupid right wingers worried about the end times for the last (insert amount of years here)"
also left wingers: "our planet is dying and we worry about the future if we don't do anything soon"

Right wingers: "Pffft, these stupid lefties worrying about global warming ruining the planet. That will never happen"
Also right wingers: "with everything happening in the world these days, the end is obviously upon us"

So technically, both sides believe in "the end" in one way or another?

(and yeah, I'm using the terms "left and right" in a very broad and general way)

The difference is that climate change is a real thing that we can actually take action against in order to ameliorate the environmental harm it's doing, and thus avoid apocalypse, while the "end of days" is a fairy tale that the right actively wants to happen.

So, the "left" believes in a threat that can be demonstrated and has the potential to be overcome because we want the future to be a better place. The "right" believes in a theist nightmare that they literally pray to happen as soon as possible, and will do whatever they believe will bring it on faster.

That's the difference I see.
