So you know, there are many ways to talk to people on this site other than PMs.

Like everyone has both whiteboards and many have photo albums. Neither of which get broadcasted to everyone.

Yet both are geared towards interests. Just find someone with an interest that you might have in common with the ones you pick and start up a conversation that way.

It's neither exactly private nor is it wide open like posts are.

Personally I have many in interest and many of those are in my photo albums. Yet I don't exclude myself to just photo albums. I have been invited to a few whiteboard conversations.

Just giving you some ideas other than the obvious.

If you need to vent about something or want an opinion about something in your life, sure. But im not feeling small talk right now.
