Just put alot of focus into it. Think about it in lots of detail and make strides towards your goal. Maybe try adding feelings when you think about it. What does it look like, how does it feel, sounds, smells. Think about it like you already have it.

@GuyWithOpinions how do i make strides to my goal?
GuyWithOpinions · 31-35, M
@horsesp2 i mean like when you plan something put the effort in to work towards it. Example: if you want to build a fire, you have to chop wood. You cant just hope for fire to show up. You build it yourself.

@GuyWithOpinions your right

@horsesp2 Thanks for clarifying. My generation had similar ideas when we were young, but we didn't use the word "manifest." There was still the idea of bringing something about through concentration of thought and energy. One book written back then called it Psychocybernetics.
I think having a positive mental attitude is very important, but I also think that ultimately, that attitude should compel us to action in order to bring about the things we want.
I am not sure what you mean by "there is nothing we can physically do", but for starters maybe you and your friend can make a list of things that would make the summer positive for you. Then see if there are things on that list you can take steps to make happen. To make them manifest.

It’s not magic. You can change your attitude and thoughts so that your subconscious mind focuses on that instead of negative things such as “that will never happen” or “what else can go wrong?”. Focus on what you want the outcome will be and feel as though as it has already happened. Your subconscious mind will work out the details of how to make it happen.

You seem to be using the word " manifest" in a specialized way that many of us are unfamiliar with.
The word ordinarily refers to something that clearly shows something or embodies the essence of something. Can you explain what you mean by the term?

@horsesp2 But the other poster needed a clarification too, and she’s young…🤔

Karma rarely bestows it’s virtue on the lazy. You need to define “fun”. Is it an awesome vacation? If so, you need to plan. You need to save. In order to “manifest” anything, you need to actively invest in steps toward your goals.
Without actively investing toward your goals, you might as well just buy a lottery ticket. The odds of success are similar.

I don't have a clear idea of how it works but from what I gathered, you must know what you want first and devote some time every day to imagining how it's happening, how you want it to go etc. It should prepare your mind to take steps to actually achieve it when the opportunity arises.
