You know, I kinda relate. Sometimes I feel some people are decent and it might be worth it to see where it goes. I mean, I give it a go. But sometimes, sometimes, I just miss the old friends I had who already knows me.

But as far as this site is concerned, you can bet there still are some decent folks.

I refrain from forming new relationships these days. It's simply much too difficult and painful to be blindsided anymore. The things I once yearned for and held dear, mean very little to me now.

Maybe not here. Irl definitely. Time and distance makes it quite difficult to make that genuine connection online, unfortunately.

I think if you look at the popular things on sw - the stuff that gets lots of replies, interaction, et al, I think you'd find a tendency for it tend towards light, shallow, bordering on meaningless things. putting lots of effort into here with the awful feed settings, the general malaise of the user population, and the 'reward' system that's developed to encourage light, shallow, meaningless interactions and I think you can't help but be disappointed with results.

It’s worth it. You never know when you’ll actually have that connection. It’s rare but so wonderful when you find it. Hugs

If I knew id be able to get on here to talk more regularly, Id certainly talk with you. I just never know when i can make it on here

With age, I don't even feel like getting to know a new person. It's so much work
