Wondering if getting to know people is worth it

The more I try the more I'm finding I don't know if it's worth trying to connect with people. it takes a lot of emotional energy for me to connect with someone and for them to just abruptly decide to stop talking to me and not say hey this bothers me . No one seems to want to be honest and real anymore. Somehow I expect trolls/rude people to respond in a way to upset me so whatever.

@Dadbod52 weird isn't the problem it's the hateful and hurtful ones that are. The ones that want to take everyone down with them instead of being miserable on their own like most miserable people do.
