I Am Very Selective When It Comes to Letting People Get Close

I've been ditched one too many times and encountered too many who turned out to be bad eggs for me to become so easily comfortable with people anymore. I'm still open to making new friends but now I make sure that I'm becoming friends with the right people. People who are genuinely interested in being my friend and won't just leave after I outlive my usefulness to them; people who won't let their personal beliefs affect our relationship; people who will accept me and not try to change who I am even if they feel their intentions are good.
