I Am Very Selective When It Comes to Letting People Get Close

Perhaps too selective, but how do you trust when most people are not what they seem?

@Kryptonite, exactly my problem. I don't know if someone is trustworthy unless I give them a chance and I can't seem to do this yet. I start everyone with negative trust, figuring they are lying or have a plan to hurt me or others
