Would you be friends with an autistic person if they’re high functioning?

I would be friends with an autistic person, regardless. The level of their function would determine the consistency of our friendship. All people have the same value. And, all are deserving of friendship.

Yes I have a nephew that must be high functioning because he graduated college with all sorts of honors. He is very nice and cool.

Maybe... Though I'd prefer them to be themselves rather than "high functioning".
