Lots talk but few add, what's the secret of making friends here?

I think there are several barriers.

First and foremost, many are hesitant to make that 'add to circle' move for fear of being thought creepy/clingy.

Second, most here have had the experience of meeting someone who is just great from Jan 1 to Feb 10 - and then suddenly without warning, they just erupt.

Third, it helps ease into friendships if you first have positive interaction on posts.

I think the secret is to be patient, be consistent, and be understanding that someone may not respond in what we think is reasonable time, because they've got something going on.

Be careful and just be yourself
Not everyone has the best intentions but there is kindness in some corners just don't be shocked by a couple post they get wild... Lol

That's something I've been trying to do for a long time. A lot of people here are good at giving short, quirky answers and comments to posts. But I don't find many who really want to dive into conversation. That's something I need in a friendship.
