Did you have an imaginary friend growing up?

One that (you thought) could fulfill ypur every wish and need?

Or were you not raised religious?

I had an imaginary friend called Simon 👀 Not brought up religious, either.

I spent years ‘with him’, and he is now the key character in a novel I’m writing. Weird how things turn out.

Yes and no. My friend didn't have a name but we were always talking and playing when I was alone which... happened a lot.

No, I was one of eight children in my family growing up in NYC and we had a number of other kids in the neighborhood. There were too many real friends around to consider making up an imaginary one.
