This is the first year I haven't been really beat up with grief.

Mother's Day was one of the worst but I don't feel sad. It feels like my day this year, because I am indeed a mom, not just motherless.

If I could make my birthday and xmas crap go away I'd be all good.

I bought a beautiful bench to put out in my yard so I can sit and just think about my mom this year. I also think this is the first year I can do that and smile and not be broken.

@MarbleMarvel thank you. She has two other sons. One makes more than $10k a month and has owed her $10 for 4 months. The other doesn't call or answer her calls.

@basilfawlty89 I'm so sorry my friend. It is so so difficult and there's no way around it. It's okay to feel it hun, you are allowed your feelings. Just know that it gets easier. It never stops hurting, but the pain settles in to a place of remembrance and rests.
